School Announces New Tuition and Referral Grants for 2017-2018

Our school board is pleased to announce two new strategies to help families attend Sacred Heart School.  These include a referral discount available to current families and a welcome grant to current parishioners who are not enrolled in our school. Please click on the link above to learn more.

Offering full day, half day, 5-day and 3-day Pre-kindergarten instruction. Kindergarten through 8th Grade spots also available.  Apply today.  We do expect a wait list for Pre-k and Kindergarten by March 2017, so please apply early for the 2017-2018 school year.

Financial Aid Applications for the 2017-2018 school year ends 2/28/17

Families looking to apply for financial aid for the 2017-2018 school year can apply now if they have a child currently enrolled at The Sacred Heart School of Glyndon, or if a new student application has already been submitted for the 2017-2018 school year.  Please click here to read more about the financial aid process and how to apply online today.  Financial aid through the Archdiocese of Baltimore is open to Catholic and non-Catholic families alike. 

SHG Students accepted into Biomedical Science Program

Five 8th graders from The Sacred Heart School of Glyndon have been accepted into Franklin High School’s Project Lead the Way (PLTW) - Biomedical Science Program.  PLTW provides transformative learning experiences for students, while creating engaging, hands-on classroom environment and empower students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills they need to thrive. Girl Scout Troop 5365 earns Silver Award

The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Cadette can earn and the second highest award of the Girl Scouts of the USA. The Silver Award represents a girl's accomplishments in Girl Scouting and in her community as she works to improve her life and the lives of others. Troop 5365, a troop which meets at Sacred Heart School, chose to build and present terrariums to Sacred Hearts two science classrooms as the action portion of their Silver Award project.

8th Grade student placed 3rd in Fox 45 "Champions of Courage" Essay Contest

Congratulations to 8th grade student, Ryan Njoroge, who has been selected as 3rd place winner in the Fox 45 Champions of Courage Essay Contest. Ryan wrote about Muhammad Ali and will recite his essay and will appear on WBFF-TV FOX 45 and WNUV-TV The CW Baltimore saluting their personal heroes during Black History Month in February, 2017.  Ryan is among the twenty finalists in the 30th annual “Champions of Courage” Black History Month Essay Competition.  Click above link for more.
