Science Club- Cleaning Up Our Local Stream

Our Science Club members did some amazing work last week. Sixteen students volunteered their time to help clean up trash from the local stream from Sacred Heart Lane to Chatsworth Avenue. They removed a car battery, four tires, glass bottles, 10 feet of heavy chain, a six-foot metal pole and six bags of broken glass, plastic and other waste.
This information will be used to create stream projects that educate our local community about the importance of clean water and eliminating litter. Thank you to our students, Mrs. Ord and Mrs. Wheeler for their hard work!
