Thanksgiving Service Project

THANKSGIVING SERVICE PROJECT-   THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2019

Dear Parents,

We would like to begin by thanking you for working so hard to make last year’s service project such a resounding success!  We are a school blessed with overflowing hearts.

Our Daily Bread has sent us a list of goods that they need to keep on hand throughout the year.  We have designated certain goods for each grade to donate.  Please see the list at the end of this letter for donations.

Last year, Nicholas Rudomin, volunteer coordinator at ODB, made a special request for a 100 man party.  The response from our school community was so overwhelming, Nick was able provide a lot more help than he anticipated.  This year, once again, Nick from ODB has a special need as follows: This year, Our Daily Bread is preparing for 100 Man Party.  ODB is identifying 100  homeless men most in need this upcoming winter.   The coordinator has humbly asked if anyone comes across the following items, they would be grateful for the donation: gloves, underwear (S-4XL), Tee Shirts (S-XL), scarves, socks, and flannel shirts (L-3XL).

As in years past, we will be collecting “Silver for Silver.”   This is spare change the children donate for Our Daily Bread to purchase silverware.

All donations need to be in by Wednesday, Nov. 13th so that we can see what we have and assess any needs.  If the donations are not sufficient to complete the service project, we will have time to purchase what we are lacking.

Thanks so much for your generosity!

Maggie Kartanowicz and Rebecca Potis
