As a parish school, we partner with our parish for many of our activities. Our sports programs are therefore run directly by the parish rather than the school.

A majority of our students participate in our parish sports programs, especially for Grades Three through Eight. Many children who are parishioners, but not enrolled in the school, join our students, strengthening the overall Sacred Heart community as well. The parish offers soccer in the fall and basketball in the winter, and our fields and courts remain very busy in the afternoons and evenings.

Many of our school parents are committed coaches in these programs, and we grow greatly as a community from their leadership and volunteerism. Our students first learn the value of good sportsmanship and respect on the field or court. They learn to see the inherent fun that exists in the sport itself, in staying physically fit, and in respectful competition. They then learn of course to develop their skills and talents in the athletic arena, and many of our graduates remain committed athletes in their respective high schools.
