Clubs and Activities

The Sacred Heart School of Glyndon has a robust offering of clubs and activities, most of which are available for students in Grades Four through Eight. All of our clubs are chosen to support our mission.

All clubs help our students develop their unique, God-given talents as our mission calls us to do. Beyond that, clubs help students grow either their academic potential, their service to others, or their faith, or a combination of these. All of the clubs listed below run regularly throughout the year and reflect strong student interest, support, and enrollment.

The Sacred Heart Chess Club is open to students in Grades Two through Eight and is run by Silver Knights Chess, a company dedicated to the instruction of chess for children.

Clubs for Grades Four and above include the Intermediate Choir and the Intermediate Band. Both groups train weekly and put on several concerts or recitals throughout the year.

Clubs for our Middle School expand to a much wider array of programming. They include: Fellowship of Christian AthletesIt’s Academic, Beads of Strength (a student-led rosary prayer group), Liturgical Dance for girls, the boys STEM club, the girls STEM club, Middle School choir, the Concert Band, and Prayer Shawl (students knit shawls that are later blessed by our priests and shared with the sick in our community).

Parish Clubs involve a great deal of our students. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts remain very active with strong total enrollment. Middle School students can participate in monthly Summit nights, programming through our parish youth ministry programs. These programs involve both our school students and many parishioner children as well.

To learn more about any of these opportunities, please call the school at 410-833-0857 for further information.
